Obituary for Robert Franklin ""Slim Bone"" Guthrie Jr.
Guthrie, Jr., Robert “Slim Bone” F., 70, of Bayard, WV died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
“Bobby” was born December 15, 1943 in Washington, D.C., son of the late Robert F. and Eunice A. (Reel) Guthrie, Sr.
He was an artisan gunsmith, U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam and Korean Conflict, member of The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, American Legion and VFW and a Protestant by faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel and brother, Lawrence Guthrie.
Surviving are two sisters, Ruth Ann Jones and Kathleen Lower and her husband, Jerry; sister-in-law, Marilyn Guthrie; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
