Douglas “Dino” Joe Hendershot, 1 day, of Reader, WV flew to Paradise on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 while in WVU Hospitals in Morgantown.
Douglas was born February 28, 2023, in Morgantown, WV son of Billy D. Hendershot and Melanie Norris both of Reader, WV.
“Dino” was greeted by his maternal great grandfather, Walter Norris; brother, Isaiah Norris; paternal great grandparents, Sylvia Miller, Denver Ross Burch and Mabel and Hartzel Hendershot.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his; siblings, Rosemary (Reese) Hendershot, Alanna Hendershot, Kaylee Norris, Paige Wise, Brayden Hixson and Leo Hixson; step-mom, Amanda Hendershot of Reader, WV; maternal grandparents, Holly Brown of Brownsville, PA, Melvin “Joe” Norris of Pine Grove, WV; maternal great grandmother, Jean Norris of Pine Grove, WV; paternal grandparents, Irvin and Madeline Hendershot of Smithfield, WV, paternal great grandfather, Billy Miller of Jacksonburg, WV; uncles, Ora (Glenna) Hendershot of Smithfield, WV and Hank Hendershot of Paden City, WV; special uncle and name sake, Douglas Hendershot; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends received 5-6 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Hwy, Pine Grove, WV where services will be held 11:30 a.m., Sunday, March 5, 2023 with Pastor David Kelly officiating. Burial to follow in the Hood Cemetery in Folsom, WV.
