Phillip Eugene Anderson, 74, of Jacksonburg, WV peacefully finished his service to his family and country on Veterans Day , November 11, 2022.
Phil was born on December 6, 1947 in New Martinsville, WV the son of the late Hupp and Lucy (Lowe) Anderson. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and received The Bronze Star in 1969 while fighting in The Vietnam War. He was a retired Coal Miner having worked at the McElroy Mine Co. for thirty-three years.
Phil was a devoted husband, father, father in law, brother, Pap, Peepal, brother in law, and friend.
He will always be remembered for his kind, caring heart and always putting others needs before his own.
Phil leaves behind his loving wife of forty eight years, Melinda J. (Haught) Anderson, two sons, Christopher (Rochelle)and Jamie Anderson of Jacksonburg ,a brother, Ron (Sally) Anderson, and four grandchildren, Matthew Anderson, and Savannah, Brandon, and Kyren Osbourne. They will always love and cherish their time with him.
Viewing will be at The Williams Funeral Home in Pine Grove, WV on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from noon until time of the service at 1:30 P.M. An Honor Guard Service will take place at the funeral home.
Interment to follow at The Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Hastings, WV.
