Obituary for Bradley Keith Tennant

Brad Keith Tennant, 62, of New Martinsville, WV formerly of Reader, WV died peacefully in his sleep at Wetzel County Hospital on Thursday, November 10, 2022 with his father, Forrest “Shorty” Tennant by his side.

Brad was born June 11, 1960 in New Martinsville, WV son Forrest “Shorty” Tennant and the late Anna Jane Tennant. He was a lifelong resident of the Ohio Valley having lived in Wellsburg and New Martinsville. Brad was a member of the church of Christ.

He graduated from Valley High School in Pine Grove, WV in 1978 and graduate of DeVry Technical Institute in Columbus, OH. Brad was recognized for his athletic ability in football and track in high school, even being a record holder in the 440-yard dash at Valley High School. He was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1990, that didn’t stop him from enjoying every moment in life. He loved discussing the Steelers, stories from the past and funny family tales and “how good lookin’ he was.” His stories and laugh could fill up a room and everyone would smile from ear to ear.

In addition to being preceded in death by his mother, Anna Jane Tennant (November 2021) he was preceded by his older sister, Cynthia Lynn Dennis (April 2020); his younger sister, Beth Ann Spaziani (January 2020) and his caregiver, Carolyn Freshwater (August 2017).

Survivors include Brad’s father, Forrest “Shorty” Tennant; son, Heath L. (Leslie) Tennant of Piney, WV; daughters, Aimee Mcquillian of Windsor Heights, WV and Savannah (Ronnie) Leggett of Wellsville, OH; four grandchildren, Tim Mcquillian, Logan Tennant, Lincoln Tennant and Scarlett Tennant and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Honoring Brad’s final wishes there will be no services.
