Obituary for Douglas Stanley Williams

Douglas Stanley Williams, 69, of Pine Grove, WV was born December 15, 1952 at Baltimore City Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He died Monday morning on March 28, 2022 in Pennsylvania, as the result of massive vehicle collision on I-81.

The cause of his passing is not an important issue. What is more meaningful is to note what mark was left, showing he passed this way, on what he knows is a much longer journey. Doug went to school in the Dundalk section of Baltimore, Maryland and also served in the U.S. Navy in the early seventies. He moved to Massachusetts afterward and met his beautiful bride, Debbie (Ellis) Williams that was the high water mark in my life, along with the birth of his two beautiful daughters, Jennifer (Dave) Stalnaker and Kimberly (Chris) Campbell. Doug’s wife, Debbie, was his best friend. They were together one years and enjoyed forty-seven years of marriage. He will always love and watch over his wife and daughters, being a grandfather of four grandsons, Benjamin, Jordan, Isaac and Conner; four granddaughters, Maddy, Annabel, Sophie and Emmalee and one great grandson, Bryson was also one of the greatest joys of my life. His parents Elwood and Ethel Jordan left here before him but Doug knows he will see them again. He was one of seven children raised by these two loving parents. He was preceded in death by siblings, Ronald Williams and Patricia Haldorson. Surviving siblings are Peggy Allio, Ethel Parker, Elwood Jordan and Kathy Lutz.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to Homes for Veterans.us as a memorial to Doug.

Graveside services will be held 1 P.M.., Friday, April 22, 2022 at the WV National Cemetery in Grafton, WV.
