Obituary for C. David Wood
C. David Wood, 82, of Wileyville, WV died Thursday, January 7, 2021 while at Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
David was born November 27, 1938 in Endicott, WV; son of the late Bernard and Ona (Yoho) Wood.
He was a self-employed sawmill owner, farmer, logger and founder of the Wileyville Auction House and a member of the Silver Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Wood; grandson, Levi Wood; two brothers, Royce Wood and Verl Wood and three sisters, Garnett Wood, Ruhama Cannon and Cornelia Henderson.
Surviving are five sons, Ronnie (Angie) Wood, Greg (Adair) Wood, Lloyd (Janey) Wood, Glenn (Tammy) Wood and Todd (Rita) Wood all of Wileyville, WV; five daughters, Rose Ann (Tony) Baker of Silver Hill, WV, Deana (Billy) Howell and Betty (Mike) Blake both of Wileyville, WV, Donna Cecil and Tracy (Brian) Thomas both of New Martinsville, WV; brother, Drexell Wood of BeBee, WV; sister, Billie Mae White of Ravanna, OH; seventeen grandchildren and several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to restrictions of the virus the family has decided to have private services with burial in the Wood Cemetery on Carney Run.
