Obituary for Dorothy L. Barker (Haught)
Dorothy L. Barker, 80, of Pine Grove, WV died Tuesday, December 29, 2020 while at Genesis New Martinsville.
Dorothy was born April 15, 1940 in Smithfield, WV; daughter of the late Simon Ray and Violet Louise (Hayhurst) Haught.
She was a hot end operator in glass manufacturing for Anchor Hocking, carrier for Wheeling News Register; loved hunting, carpentry, mechanical work, being outdoors and a wonderful cook; and member of the Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Barker and son-in-law, Wayne Ice.
Surviving are her children, Burl (Christena) Shaw of Smithfield, WV, Agnes Ice of Pine Grove, WV and Violet Shaw of Parkersburg, WV; brother, Jerry (Diane) Haught of Vine Ville, KY and sister, Naoma (Carl) Stackhouse of Pine Grove, WV; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-5 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Hwy, Pine Grove, WV where services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2021 with Sam Haught officiating. Burial to follow in the Stout Run Cemetery.
