Obituary for Shirley Lee Maybury (King)

Shirley L. Maybury, 86 of Pine Grove, WV went to meet her Savior on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 while at Acuity Care in Bellaire, OH.

Shirley was born April 18, 1933 in Cleveland, OH; daughter of the late Michael King and Evelyn Sonny.

She was a retired CNA having worked at numerous nursing homes and even provided private care when she left the industry. Shirley was very close to her Lord, she loved going to church, praying and listening to gospel music. She enjoyed sitting on the porch and rocking in her rocking chair, playing and spending time with her grandchildren and reading. Shirley was a member of the Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church.

In addition to parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth P. Maybury; son, Kenneth Hadlock; two daughters, Connie Hadlock and Penny Yahr and grandparents, Daisy Mae and Walter Sonny.

Surviving are her two sons, Thomas (Crysty) McGraw of New Martinsville, WV and Mike (Jennifer) Hadlock of Brandford, Ontario, Canada; daughter, Patricia “Pattie” Malone of Atlanta, GA; brother, Wayne King of Spokehand, WA; sister, Bea (Buddy) Sauer of Houston, TX; childhood friend, Jean Coleman; special friends, Sandra and Howard Estep; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Life will be held 6 p.m., Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Paden Fork Chapel Christian Church.
