Obituary for Tammey L. Sockey (Floyd)
Tammey L. Sockey, 52, of Smithfield, WV died Sunday, September 1, 2019 while at Genesis New Martinsville.
Tammey was born July 22, 1967 in New Martinsville, WV; daughter of the late Clark H. and Faye Ann (Tanner) Floyd.
She had been a sales clerk for the former Smith’s Grocery and graduated from Valley High School Class of 1985.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clark Floyd, Jr.
Surviving are five sons, Freddy (Crystal) Guthrie of Pine Grove, WV, Dayton Guthrie, Trenton Floyd, Joshua Floyd and Layden Floyd all of Smithfield, WV; daughter, Brittany Guthrie of Mannington, WV; brother, Clifford “Sonny” Swiger of Smithfield, WV; three sisters, Loretta Roberts of Pine Grove, WV, Lisa (Pete Davis) Watson of Folsom, WV and Roxanne (John) McGee of New Martinsville, WV; three grandchildren, Crislyn, Chezlie and Branson and several other family members.
Friends received 3-7 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Hwy, Pine Grove, where services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2019. Burial to follow in the Pricetown Cemetery.
