Obituary for Virginia Mae Kuhens (Springer)
Virginia Mae Kuhens, 67, of Smithfield, WV died Sunday, August 11, 2019 while at UPMC-Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA.
Virginia was born February 16, 1952 in Smithfield, WV; daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Gump) Springer.
She was a homemaker, she loved raising her children and helping with her grandchildren and great grandchild, enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, reading books and her swimming pool.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ellis Springer and a granddaughter, Stephanie Jo Stout.
Surviving are her husband of forty-four years, Jerry Kuhens, Sr.; daughter, Jennifer (Larry) Stealey of Jacksonburg, WV; son, Jerry (Tina) Kuhens of Smithfield, WV; four sisters, Patricia (James) Gifford of Wallace, WV, Diana Sprout of Clarksburg, WV, Sandy (Larry) Szalanziewicz of Pittsburgh, PA and Jean (Morris) Driver of Virginia; three grandchildren, Montana Shaw, Brittany (Toby) Burley and Jerry Kuhens, III; great granddaughter, Paelee Kuhens and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Hwy., Pine Grove, with her son, Jerry officiating. Burial to follow in the Pricetown Cemetery.
