Obituary for Larry J. Nolan
Larry J. Nolan, 71, of Grant Town, WV formerly of Pine Grove, WV died Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his home while surrounded by his family.
Larry was born March 2, 1947 in Pine Grove, WV; son of the late Virginia Imogene Nolan.
He was retired labor for Neville Chemical, served his country in the U.S. Navy, loved to hunt, especially coon and to play Pokémon, past member of the American Legion Marne Post #28 in New Martinsville, liked hunting yellow and ginseng roots and member of the former Jacksonburg Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Linda (Hayhurst) Nolan; two sons, Brian Nolan and Buddy (Sarah) Nolan both of Grant Town, WV; daughter, Virginia Opal (Floyd) Lewis of New Martinsville, WV; brother, Jerry “Jake” K. (Janice) Nolan of Wileyville, WV; sister, Sandy McFrederick of Jerusalem, OH; fourteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 11 a.m. until time of service at noon, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Hwy, Pine Grove. Burial to follow at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery near Hastings, WV.
Honor Guard to conduct military graveside service.
Dinner to follow at the Pine Grove Fire Department.
