Obituary for Alma Lucille Price (Beeghley)
Alma Lucille Price, 97, of New Martinsville, WV formerly of Pine Grove, WV died Thursday, January 3, 2018 while at Genesis New Martinsville.
Lucille was born May 1, 1921 in Lightburn, Lewis County, WV; daughter of the late James Hobart and Rose (Funk) Beeghley.
She was a retired elementary teacher for Wetzel County Schools, served for many years on the Pine Grove Public Library board of trustees, Pine Grove Garden Club, member of the Eastern Star Chapter 50, WV Retired Teachers Association, past 4-H leader and started the Pine Grove club known as the Live Wires and member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in New Martinsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Price; daughter, Donna Jean Price; sisters Pauline “Polly” Beeghley and infant, Ruth Elaine Beeghley.
Surviving are her son, Jim (Fawn) Price of New Martinsville, WV; three grandsons, Jamie (Dorothy) Price, Joe (Malissa) Price and Jon (Jo Ellen) Price; six great grandchildren, Jackson, Carter, Grace, Paden, Jaden and Raelyn.
Friends received 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Williams Funeral Home in Pine Grove and 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2019 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, 521 Maple Ave., New Martinsville, WV.
Burial to follow in Broad Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
