Obituary for Verna Mae Gray (McLaughlin)
Verna Mae Gray, 71, of New Martinsville, WV died Saturday, December 22, 2018 while at Genesis.
Verna was born April 8, 1947 in New Martinsville, WV; daughter of the late Frank and Effie (Anderson) McLaughlin.
She was a homemaker, loved her family and watching animals and a member of the Steelton Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, an infant Lloyd E. McLaughlin, Wilma Powers, William McLaughlin, Mary Cross, Nettie Richards and Thomas McLaughlin.
Surviving are her husband, Lonnie Gray; two sons, Edward (Missy) McLaughlin of Wellsburg, WV and David (Gina) Gray of New Martinsville, WV; daughter, Rebecca (Steve) Goddard of New Martinsville, WV; two brothers, Charles McLaughlin of New Martinsville, WV and Clifford McLaughlin of Sistersville, WV; sister, Shirley McLaughlin; eight grandchildren, Brittany, Patrick, Lacie, Sierra, Miranda, Stephen, David and Loni; five great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 3-7 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Williams Funeral Home in Pine Grove, WV where services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2018 with Ed Melott officiating. Burial to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
