Obituary for Zina Pearl Harter (Ice)

Zina Pearl Harter, daughter of the late Lindsey and Lena May Ice, passed away quietly Sunday morning, June 19, 2016 in her home in Smithfield, WV. Zina was born on April 13, 1919 and lived most of her life in Smithfield.

She was married to Jackson Harter on July 1, 1937. Jack preceded her in death in 1981.

Zina and Jack had two sons, Gary J. (Helen) of Smithfield and the late Ronald K. (Shelley) of Reader. She is survived by her son, Gary J. Harter, two daughter-in-laws, Helen Hood Harter and Shelley Milburn Harter, four grandchildren and their spouses, Dean Harter and wife Connie, Karena Leep and husband John, John Harter and wife Johnna, Janet Moore and husband Randy, eight great grandchildren, Chelsea Harter, Hailee Jenkins and husband Zack, Mitch Moore, Hayden Lively, Bradley Harter, Emalee Lively, Holden Moore and Evan Harter, and one great-great grandchild, Andrew Jenkins.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Williams Funeral Home in Pine Grove, WV. The funeral will be on Wednesday, June 22 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The burial to follow at Milburn Cemetery in Reader, WV.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last few months. A special thanks goes to the staff at Journey Hospice for their care and continued thoughtfulness.
