Obituary for Gregory L. Norris

Gregory “Greg” L. Norris, 63, of French Creek, WV formerly of Wetzel County, died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, WV.

“Greg” was born June 16, 1952 in New Martinsville, WV son of the late Clint and Ulah (Sapp) Norris.

He was a carpenter by trade, loved riding his four wheeler that he often referred to as “Honey”, enjoyed being outside where he did gardening and mowing, he was the comical one and always knew how to make you laugh and he attended the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, one infants, Grady Norris and Rudyard “Rud” Norris; two sister, one infant and Meryl Norris and three nephews, Garth Brown, Shawn McBee and Jody Norris.

Surviving are his daughter, Levina Norris of French Creek, WV; step-daughter, Mary Svoboda of Denver, CO; four brothers, Neil (Shelby) Norris of Hundred, WV, Drane (Patty) Norris of South Carolina, Blaine (Carla) Norris of Hundred, WV and Bill (Marie) Norris of Hundred, WV; four sisters, Rona Grimm of New Martinsville, WV, Karolyn (Kenton) Brown of Pine Grove, WV, Sandra (Carl) McBee of Wileyville, WV and Sharyn Utt of Reader, WV; two granddaughters, Gwenivere Humphrey and a baby girl that is due in February 2016; ex-wife, Vera Norris of Munich, Germany and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
