Condolence From: Garry Nolan
Condolence: I am so sorry to hear Bill passed. I realize he has been gone for several years, but I still wanted to leave a message to say how grateful I am for his historical account of the Nolans in West Virginia. I have been following our linage back for years and came across his work following my family tree back to Johsua Noland, born about 1803 in Pennsylvania. I wish there was someone I could contact to continue his work and give an update to the line of Nolans I am from. I can give information concerning the sons of Ward (Tump) Nolan, Bert David and Garry Nolan. Any way, Thanks Bill for all you did while in this world. I hope you are greatly enjoying your reward in the next! God Bless!

Condolence: No one can prepare you for a loss; it comes like a swift wind.
However, take comfort in knowing that he is now at rest but only temporarily.

Revelation 21:4 says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

Isaiah 35:8 says, "He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, For Jehovah himself has spoken it."

My deepest condolences go out to the whole family.

Condolence: 1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. 5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. 6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. 7 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. 8 Come and see what the LORD has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. 9He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. 10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

RIP my friend.

Condolence: I am late in seeing this, I'm so sad to see that Bill has passed. I didn't know him personally, but he helped me so much with finding my Booth line in Wetzel County, even personally talking to people, until he found someone who remembered my ancestor, Charles Thornton Booth. He was so knowledgeable and kind and helpful. I just started my genealogy again, and was looking for him to tell him my progress. He was such a wonderful and nice person. Always willing to help someone. Prayers for Bill and his family.

Condolence: I know this is months after Bill's passing, but I just found his obituary. I wanted to express my sympathy for your loss. I met Bill (via email) many years back when making an inquiry as to some information on the Wetzel County geneaology website. I asked him how he had gotten all of this information about my family.....he answered me by also telling me that we were about 4th cousins. I, too, am a Cunningham decendant. We would email back and forth about what he knew of the family. He was all was so very helpful. Reading his bio & obituary I learned a lot about him. He was a very talented man.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to the family of Billy L. Cunningham - May you find comfort in your loving memories, great pictures and in recalling the many talents of Mr. Cunningham. It was not the Creator's purpose that mankind suffer and die (Romans 5:12). God has promised that a time will come when no one will say "I am sick" (Isaiah 33:24). In the Bible we are promised the resurrection of dear family members and friends that we have lost (John 5:28, 29). I hope you are comforted by Bible promises of a hopeful future (John 17:3).
