Obituary for Sandy Odom

Odom, Sandra “Sandy” K., 62, of Wallback, WV formerly of Reader, WV died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV.

Sandy was born October 26, 1948 in New Martinsville, WV daughter of Betty Long of Reader and the late James Long.

She was an employee of the Charleston Dept. of Health and Human Resources, a kind and caring mother, wife and grandmother and a member of the Reader Church of Christ, currently attending the Gasaway Church of Christ.

In addition to her mother, surviving are her husband, Dave Odom; son, Justin (Kristina) Odom of Fairfield, IL; daughter, Katie Odom of Wallback, WV; five brothers, James (Toni) Long of New Martinsville, WV, Roger (Kimmie) Long of Reader, WV, Larry Long of New Martinsville, WV, John Marc (Sarah) Long of Paden City, WV and David (Vicki) Long of Moundsville, WV; sister, Janet (Randy) Cecil of Wileyville, WV; three grandchildren, Benjamin Odom, Jennifer Odom and Hannah Odom and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-8 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Williams Funeral Home, 226 N SR 20, Pine Grove, WV. A memorial service will be 12:30 p.m., Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Reader Church of Christ with Jeff Tucker officiating.

Interment to be held at the convenience of the family.
