The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mildred Brown can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Lisa Fordyce

Mam was a true Christian example for her grandchildren and others. Her loving kindness, never ending encouragement and strong convictions influenced me from a very young age. As a teenager she was always a listening ear and confident voice. We spent many nights talking late in the night about life's challenges. You never allowed for negativity on ones self. As I began to have a family of my own, Mam and Grandad always encouraged Steve and I to be committed to God, eachother and to our daughter. Soon it was evident that Mackenzie had a friend in Mam too. Having a great - grandmother to share fun times and vacations with gave her many memories. Often times Mam spent summer months with Mackenzie and as she aged, many stories of life applications influenced our daughter. Mam was there for many school and volleyball matches, college signing and biblical knowledge. As I worked in my career, I could always count on the support and reinforcement of leading with integrity. Mam you leave a massive void in my heart and soul. These last few years brought about many changes for you and while they were tough on your health... you never gave up. The same shining example that you have always been. Your earthly journey ended after a very long chapter, but as we talked through it recently, your reward is great. One day you will meet your Creator and I know 100% He is going to rejoice in your arrival. God gained a gem Thursday. As you said on Tuesday, "we have been good friends for a very long time". I am grateful for our time we had. I will never forget that laugh we shared on Wednesday after you insisted on holding the water by yourself although your words were silent (heart breaking). Thank you God for a wonderful example. They say earth has no sorrow that Heaven can't heal. I will see you on the other side. I will always love you. Lisa - your first grandchild.
