Obituary for Shuman E. Haynes

Shuman E. Haynes, 82, of Wileyville, WV died peacefully Thursday, July 21, 2016 in his home. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Yoho) Haynes with whom he celebrated forty-one years of marriage on September 20, 2015 and the late Joan (Phillips) Haynes.

Shuman was born in Charleston, WV, son of the late Clowney and Maude E. (Shuman) Haynes. He was a graduate of Magnolia High School, a proud independent farmer; Shuman was a breeder of award winning Charolais beef cattle and most recently Saler beef cattle. He was a retired pot man for the former Ormet Corp for thirty-one years before retiring, an active member of the Farm Service Agency and a faithful member of Low Gap Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife; sons, Kevin Haynes and his wife, Shari of Charlotte, NC and John Haynes and his wife, Crystal of Wileyville, WV; brother, Frank Haynes and his wife, Barbara of Wheeling, WV; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Friends received 5-8 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Hwy, Pine Grove, WV where service will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2016 with Pastor Delbert Lasure officiating.

Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Park in New Martinsville, WV.
