Obituary for Clark Floyd II

Clark H. Floyd, II, 46, of Smithfield, WV died Thursday, August 13, 2015 as the result of a logging accident near Burchfield, WV.

Clark was born on February 4, 1969 in Glen Dale, WV, son of the late Clark H. Floyd, Sr. and Faye Ann Swiger.

He was an independent timber cutter, he loved camping, hunting, fishing and cookouts, he was, for a short period of time, a member of the Smithfield Church of Christ and was later re-baptized while he was incarcerated.

Surviving are his four children, Keri Floyd, Josh Floyd, Clark Floyd, III and Penny Floyd all of Smithfield, WV; six grandchildren, Adrienne Riley, Keirstin Riley, Layden Floyd, Josh Floyd, Jr., Trenton Floyd and Matthew Russel; brother, Clifford “Sonny” Swiger of Smithfield, WV; four sisters, Loretta (Charlie) Roberts of Pine Grove, WV, Lisa (Pete Davis) Watson of Folsom, WV, Tammy (Charlie) Sockey and Roxanne (John) McGee both of Smithfield, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 2-6 p.m., Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Williams Funeral Home, 12750 Shortline Highway, Pine Grove, where service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2015.

Interment to follow in Knight of Pythias Cemetery in Hastings, WV.
